At Harv-Ware, our mission is to recruit a team of qualified community volunteers to accomplish high-priority minor home maintenance tasks for residents who cannot get them done otherwise, while mentoring young people to become more qualified to help others.
Hi, I'm Gwen Buseman Harvey, a proud member of the BHS class of '65. My family has deep roots in the Belmond Community, which drives our passion for service. My dad, Melvin Buseman, was a founder of Belmond's Care Car. This initiative has helped countless individuals, and I aim to continue that spirit of giving.
In 2025, my husband Tom and I founded Harv-Ware, a not-for-profit organization. We focus on providing minor home maintenance assistance.
Whether it's installing a smoke alarm battery or bathroom grab bar to reaching a high-up light bulb or reconnecting your garden hose for the season, we can tackle minor issues quickly and efficiently.
No need to stress: You don't need to feel overwhelmed. Our friendly local volunteers are ready to help you.
If you have a small home maintenance task, we can assist you. Our goal is to help, not profit from your situation. We believe in lending a hand to neighbors. A suggested $5 donation helps us continue providing this service to others.
